Preneed Contracts
Before drafting any contract for goods or services, the responsible party—or the decedent’s survivor handling the funeral arrangements—is entitled to receive a copy of any pre-need agreement in the funeral establishment’s possession that was signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on behalf of the decedent. This right applies to any such agreement, including Sunset Funeral, Cremation & Casket Company preneed contracts in the East Bay and the Greater Bay Area.
